Brightstone Presence is an optional live-audience source. Revenue reporting still comes from connected advertising providers; installing Presence does not connect an ad-network account.
Choose the source
Open the site's settings and review Active users source. Auto — GA4 first, Presence fallback uses the available supported source. Google Analytics 4 only and Presence only restrict that choice.
Presence needs its actual collector installed on the website. Use the installation details provided for the intended site; do not copy a sample site's configuration into production or assume that creating a site installed tracking automatically.
Interpret the count
Live audience consists of retained observations and their reporting windows. It is not a daily unique-user count, a payout metric or proof that every visitor is measured. Browser blocking, installation problems and network interruptions can affect collection.
If Presence has no observations, verify that the collector is installed on the correct domain and that the selected source allows Presence. Do not compare a momentary active-user value directly with a day's page views. Historical dashboard periods can hide the current live card intentionally. When the required installation details or permissions are unavailable, ask the workspace owner or support rather than guessing a tracking URL.
If these steps do not resolve your question, contact Brightstone support. Never include passwords, tokens or recovery codes.
