Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Brightstone Metrics, provided by Brightstone Metrics. They are meant to be read, so they are written plainly. Using the service means you accept them.

The service

Brightstone Metrics collects earnings and traffic figures from the advertising and analytics accounts you connect, and presents them in one dashboard. It is a reporting tool. It does not place ads or change your websites. Brightstone uses connected advertising and analytics accounts for reporting purposes and does not intentionally modify their configuration. Where a provider exposes a broader authorisation scope than reporting alone, Brightstone limits its use of that authorisation to the reporting functionality described in the service.

Workspace features and demo

The workspace includes provider reporting, audience signals, monthly targets, site and payment views, team roles and dashboard preferences. Scheduled reports, exports and revenue and traffic alerts depend on the selected plan. A connected SocialChamp account provides calendar, post, draft, queue and available performance views. Workspace owners and authorized admins can review and submit drafts, scheduled posts or immediate posts, and change eligible scheduled posts or queues. SocialChamp and each network control availability and delivery. Facebook Page discovery and follower availability depend on reliable identifiers and the provider response. The public demo uses illustrative sample data and cannot change customer accounts or send customer reports.

Brightstone AI allowance

When enabled, every plan includes 1,000 Brightstone AI question credits per workspace per UTC calendar month, shared by workspace members. One successful question or explicitly requested report insight uses one credit, including a repeated question answered from cache. Failed AI responses and human support requests do not use credits. Credits reset on the first day of each month, do not roll over, have no cash value and do not create automatic overage charges. Trials and complimentary workspaces use the same monthly allowance while access is active. Reaching the limit pauses AI questions until reset; other included features and support remain available.

AI responses can be mistaken and should be checked against the underlying figures. They are not financial or professional advice. The public website guide is a separate product-help service with no access to private workspace data or question credits.

AI Connections and external assistants

Where enabled, you can authorize a compatible assistant, including ChatGPT, to retrieve Brightstone reports through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You choose one workspace, permitted websites and data categories. You must have authority to share that information with your chosen assistant. Current membership, role, site restrictions and plan access still apply. Connections do not include other customers' data or automatically include websites added later.

Customer MCP is read-only in this release. It can retrieve supported analytics and existing reports, but cannot change targets or settings, manage billing or team members, publish posts, send reports or make purchases. Authentication and connection management are separate from reporting tools. Approve only connections you initiated in an application you trust: an application-supplied name alone does not verify its operator.

The external assistant is a separate service with its own terms, privacy controls, account requirements and any fees. Custom MCP availability varies by assistant and plan; Brightstone plan access is still required. Manual MCP availability does not mean that a public ChatGPT plugin has been approved or published, or that Brightstone is an official OpenAI partner.

Revoke future retrieval and refresh access in Account → AI Connections. Disconnecting does not erase results already received by the assistant, disconnect your providers, delete your workspace or cancel a subscription. See the Privacy Policy for the data shared and processing. Verify important AI conclusions against Brightstone and provider reports. Delayed, missing or unsupported figures do not mean confirmed zero earnings.

Third-party services and trademarks

Brightstone Metrics is an independent software service. Except where we expressly say otherwise, Brightstone is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or an official partner of the advertising, analytics and messaging services that the product can connect to, including Google AdSense, Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager / AdX, AdsKeeper, MGID, Adsterra, Ezoic, Taboola, Revcontent, Outbrain, SocialChamp, Meta/Facebook, Telegram, Viber, OpenAI and ChatGPT.

References to third-party products, services, names and logos identify compatible services only. Their names, trademarks, service marks and logos belong to their respective owners. Displaying a mark or supporting an API does not by itself imply endorsement, sponsorship or partnership. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies and may change, restrict or discontinue APIs, data or features independently of Brightstone.

Some third parties do have a defined service-provider relationship with Brightstone. For example, Paddle acts as our merchant of record and infrastructure or support processors may process data as described in our privacy policy. Those relationships do not make Brightstone an official representative of unrelated providers shown in the product.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your login, so keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You must be at least 16, and if you are signing up for a company you need the authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

You may invite others into your account. What they can see and change depends on the role you give them, and you remain responsible for what they do.

Your data stays yours

The figures we gather on your behalf belong to you. We store and process them to run the service, as described in the privacy policy. We claim no ownership of them and we do not sell them. Available export and account controls depend on your role and plan. Contact us for the data requests described in the privacy policy.

What we ask of you

Do not use the service to:

• connect accounts you are not authorised to access;
• break the terms of the providers you connect, including Google's;
• attack, overload or probe the service, or work around its limits;
• resell access without a written agreement with us.

Payment

Paid plans are billed in advance through Paddle, our merchant of record, who handle payment and any applicable tax. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel whenever you like — access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not pro-rate part-months.

Starter offers a 14-day trial. When you start a trial without a payment method, no automatic charge occurs. The trial ends on the date shown in Billing; choose a subscription to continue afterwards. Existing sites, settings and data are retained when trial access ends.

If a payment method is required at signup, Paddle shows the trial end and first charge date before you confirm. Cancel before that date to avoid the first subscription charge. A trial offered in Paddle checkout follows the dates shown there. Growth and Scale begin billing at checkout. Paid subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.

If a payment fails we will retry and email you. Persistent failure suspends access to the dashboard; it does not delete your history, which stays intact and reappears when the subscription resumes.

Prices can change with 30 days' notice by email. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Refund Policy

Contact [email protected] within 14 days of the charge to request a refund. Include the email address on your account, the transaction reference and a short description of the issue. Do not send card details.

We review requests individually, including duplicate or incorrect charges and material service failures. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle, our merchant of record, to the original payment method. Your payment provider or bank determines when the funds appear.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless a refund is approved, access continues until the end of the period already paid for; we do not automatically pro-rate unused time. See our cancellation policy for instructions.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies you have under applicable consumer law or Paddle's buyer terms. A statutory right may apply even after our 14-day request window.

Accuracy

The figures come from third-party APIs. Those providers restate their own numbers — AdSense in particular revises recent days — and can be slow or unavailable. We show you what they give us, with the time of the last successful refresh. Do not treat this dashboard as a financial record of account. For anything that matters — invoicing, tax, a dispute — use the provider's own reporting.

Availability

We work to keep the service up but do not promise a particular uptime. Maintenance happens, and so do outages at our providers. We will give notice of planned work where we reasonably can.

Ending it

Close your account from the settings page at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that goes unpaid, or where we are legally required to — and except in serious cases we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or indirect losses, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We will email you at least 30 days before any material change. Carrying on using the service after it takes effect means you accept it; if you would rather not, cancel before then and we will refund the unused part of your period.
