A recognized device and an active session are different records. Signing out ends a session; a trusted-device choice can remain valid until it expires, is revoked or a security check requires fresh verification.
Review access
- Open Account.
- Under Active sessions, review the current session and other available sessions.
- Use Sign out or Sign out everywhere else when appropriate.
- Under Recognized devices, review the displayed trust status and date.
- Choose Forget device to remove that device's recognition/trust.
Do not approve a device you do not control. A shared/public computer should not be treated like your personal device.
Why verification can return
Trust is tied to the account and browser cookie. A private browser, cleared cookies, another profile, expired/revoked trust, a password/email change or an unusual sign-in context can require a new verification. Browser and PWA storage can also differ.
A device being recognized does not grant workspace access or bypass an administrator's security policy. Complete the method offered by your own account rather than disabling security to avoid a prompt. If trust appears to be lost repeatedly in the same browser, tell support the browser/profile and sign-in sequence, without cookies, codes or passwords.
If these steps do not resolve your question, contact Brightstone support. Never include passwords, tokens or recovery codes.
